I'm back!

I have been housesitting for the last week. I have been without the space to create and as some of you may know, I have been without a proper camera for some time, to document the work with, but as I said before I'm back! and ready for the madness to start. Here's some new shots with the new camera (the shots are of work done with a new brain). <3

a new piece

Guests have come and gone over the last week and a half, infiltrating life into 134. I partook in a baby shower, a halloween party, an art opening, and hours of work, sleep, drinking and cleaning... So no wonder I was inspired by all this to complete this new piece. <3

I have been painting every day before work. I am working on a collection of work to make an installation with. I know you probably know, but I am putting it down in writing as much as possible so I will stick to the goals I have set for myself.

These paintings are projections from sketches that can be found in my notebook/journal. I have been collecting Imagery now for about a year. I am trying to figure out that path I have laid out in front of me.

Picked, washed, cut and bagged. Now my parents have tomatoes for the duration of the winter. Home-grown.

new things

Stuffed animals are the only thing on my mind right now. For a full year now I have been preparing a large installation. The bamboo trees, the light installations, the hand made flat sheet of paper, and now the stuffed animals. My Installation (in progress now) will ideally be set up for a solo show before February 2010 to go towards a portfolio of current/up to date work made by me for a masters program. Wee... I have a lot of work to do, so I am signing off. More in the coming weeks.

my first tattoo

I may have a DIY tattoo on my ankle from Nissa when I was 15, but this one is the real deal. I love it. Hope it is captured properly here in these photos.

workin' it

Here are some new shots, my light installed, bamboo leaves, and the corner of my new bedroom. Mady's final print for her class is shown reflected in my mirror. Pretty neat stuff. I am excited.
